Dr. Varghese Philip is a hospital strategy advisor. He is a trained surgeon from the Christian Medical College, Vellore, India and has done his Masters from London School of Economics. He has served in remote hospitals in Bhutan and in the Himalayan region. He has established hospitals and has provided strategic leadership in turning around several hospitals. He headed Emmanuel Hospital Association, a group of 20 hospitals and several large community development programs including global fund managed projects. He currently works as a strategic advisor to several healthcare institutions including a large hospital and medical school.
His key strength has been in strategically leading and managing healthcare institutions in diverse situations, modernizing large hospitals, initiating community based health care programs and setting up health care programs in disaster zones. With his enabling and participatory leadership style he strongly believes – ‘together, we can go farther’!
